'Till The End Of The Moon' Accused Of Plagiarism For The Second Time

After the plagiarism case about the novel, Till The End Of The Moon is accused of plagiarism again in the aspect of the soundtrack and visual animation.

On April 26th, 2023, the Twitter account @Allcbizmelons wrote that the S+ level drama, Till The End Of The Moon, plagiarized one of the soundtracks and animated visuals from the famous online game, Onmyoji. The controversy started after this drama aired its 25th episode. Some netizens mentioned that the drama plagiarized one of the famous online game soundtracks, Onmyoji. Until April 25th, 2023, Till The End Of The Moon drama team responded to the controversy. They wrote a message on Weibo. “We noticed that some netizens caused controversy regarding one of the soundtracks in episode 25th. To support originality and protect also respect intellectual property rights, we will change the soundtrack in the drama before the final results are confirmed. Currently, the two songs are being professionally tested, and a separate explanation will be made.” 

In response to the controversy, Onmyoji also responded quite quickly. They said that they are currently investigating the issues. They will share the investigation results as soon as it is completed. They said, “We have never given any commercial authorization for music, videos, etc., to Till The End Of The Moon. We have communicated with the Till The End Of The Moon team and encouraged them to conduct an independent investigation. Our legal department has been engaged to investigate this matter. If there is a violation, we will take legal action.” (reported by Sina Entertainment News).

As of now, there is no further information regarding the results of the investigation from both parties. Before this plagiarism controversy, Till The End Of The Moon had also been involved in a plagiarism controversy regarding the novel adapted for the drama. This controversy occurred before the airing of the drama. One of the authors accused Teng Luo Wei Zhi, the author of Till The End Of The Moon, of plagiarizing her novel. However, Teng Luo Wei Zhi immediately denied the accusation and filed a defamation suit related to the controversy.
