'Love Between Fairy and Devil' received an award at Weibo Night Awards 2022

Successfully winning the 'Annual Drama of the Year' award at the Weibo Night Awards 2022, Love Between Fairy and Devil became the only xianxia fantasy drama that won in those categories.

The prestigious Weibo Night Awards 2022 was recently held at the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center on March 25, 2023. The event was attended by famous actors, singers, and the movie figures industry. The arrangement for this award is that it is held after the year has ended and involves dramas and movies from that year. Therefore, Weibo Night 2022 was held in 2023.

One of the main award categories in this event is 'Annual Drama of the Year,' which has nine dramas as the winners. Among all the dramas that won, Love Between Fairy and Devil was the only xianxia drama that prevailed in this category. The other eight dramas consisted of 6 modern dramas (Draw the Line, Wild Bloom, The Knockout, Three Body, Bright Future, and The Story of Xingfu) and two costume dramas (Love Like the Galaxy (historical) and The Blue Whisper (Wuxia, Xuanhuan)).

Love Between Fairy and Devil, which aired in August 2022, starred Dylan Wang and Esther Yu as the main actors. This drama is an adaptation of the novel 'Cai Lan Jue' by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. The drama tells the story of the struggling and sacrificing love between the Demon King of the Moon, Dongfang Qing Cang (Dylan Wang), and the Orchid Fairy, Xiao Lan Hua (Esther Yu), against the world's view and ideologies that demons and fairies couldn't be together.

The drama, which has 36 episodes, was well-deserved to get the award. Apart from fans' enthusiasm for the presence of Dylan Wang, one of China's famous actors, the drama also has an exciting storyline and mesmerizing CGI effects.

As of now, the drama is still in the top 9 dramas on iQIYI with a rating of 9.7/10. The drama also received high ratings on several web ratings: 8.9/10 on MyDramaList, 9.7/10 on Viki, 8.6/10 on IMDb, and 9.2/10 on Cnovelholic.com.
